Blog

This blog tells about the updates Angela makes.

It features her art but talks a bit about others, etc. as well. This does not happen in every post!

Angela is not shy in speaking up about others who have inspired her, etc.

This blog is to help create awareness of LGBTQ rights, etc. but first speaks up for Women in the arts.

However please note that if you have any political issues, etc. contact those in charge of them. This blog is mainly about art.

Thank you for understanding and Namaste

Comics, Celine & photos!

Hey you guys!

I hope that you had a wonderful weekend.

The first thing I have to share is a video that shows an old friends comic book.

I was inspired to share it after hearing from someone on my substack page.

I’ll be sharing my substack page below if you would like to visit! I’d love to hear from you.

Next I wanted to write alittle bit about a Celine Dion Documentary and my thoughts on her being diagnosed with Stiff Person Syndrome.

Here’s the trailer for it…

Some may know that I have Epilepsy. I’ve talked about it in the past and am not ashamed of talking about it today. It doesn’t define who I am, as Stiff Person Syndrome doesn’t define Celine.

I think that it took ALOT of guts for Celine to create this documentary.

Due to the fact that it hits too close to home for me so I can’t make a recording about it. I hope that Celine understands….I tried.

The seizures she has look exactly like my panic attacks.Trust me!

They are REALLY EMBARRASSING!

The differences in the panic attacks I have and my seizures are they do not come with an aura. I also do not convulse during them.

I also have a bit of control at first. It’s only after a point that control is completely lost. My seizures come with absolutely no control but I’m still wondering if they aren’t connected somehow because I DO stiffen, etc. just like that. MAN! They hurt.

I also rarely have them and didn’t have them at all for a few years after taking CBD oil.

In all honesty, when I had one at a Church once, someone whisperd’ in my ear asking if I was faking it. As seen here, you CAN hear and see everything during them and that truly hurt my feelings.

I think that may have contributed to my only calling them panic attacks now but maybe they are seizures. I don’t know. I DO get REALLY tired after one and extremely thirsty just as I do after a seizure.

In all honesty, I’d rather have seizures that cause me to black out. It’s more emotionally painful when you see and hear everything.

I TRULY wish that someone would help me with my panic attacks but sadly they won’t.

I don’t think enough awareness has been created of this type of seizure. People really do think some are fake. They aren’t though.

I think that if Celine Dion isn’t having to deal with as many as I had as a kid, she will recover. Although I started having seizures at 12yrs, the number grew until I had 100 a day at the most. If I recovered, I truly believe she’ll be ok. Unless there is a difference in Stiff Person Syndrome and Epilepsy that causes her to be in constant pain.

I am unsure there because I’m not a Neurologist and actually hadn’t heard of Stiff Person Syndrome until this documentary. Which THANK YOU for making it Celine! People TRULY need to know about this condition.

Seizures truly DO look terrible but some have it worse than even I had it. Again, I know that I have Epilepsy and she has Stiff Person Syndrome but they are both Neurological Disorders.

I bet she knows that and remembers us. She is a wonderful person!

It’ll just take longer for her to fully heal due to her age, etc. but she can do it!

I believe in her! I hope that she listens to her body though because others can’t see what those in our conditions feel. Due to that, they can’t see when we should rest. At the same time, I know that if she feels as strongly as I do it is heartbreaking not to sing.

I nolonger sing constantly due to the fact that my jaw pops out of joint today. To be honest, I am also feeling what having so many seizures has done to my body.

It’s a personal choice but when my jaw pops out it’s VERY PAINFUL!

I DO sing for fun and create all the time. There is NO WAY that I would ever give up. I simply saw that I had to change directions. It’s painful both physyically and emotionally not to be following my dream to sing.

It’s truly heartbreaking having to give up what you’ve worked for years on.

Thank you all for reading this far.

Lastly, I wanted to share a collage that I made for you all. To try and lighten this topic up a bit.

Have a wonderful week!!! Happy 4th before the 4th!
