Blog

This blog tells about the updates Angela makes.

It features her art but talks a bit about others, etc. as well. This does not happen in every post!

Angela is not shy in speaking up about others who have inspired her, etc.

This blog is to help create awareness of LGBTQ rights, etc. but first speaks up for Women in the arts.

However please note that if you have any political issues, etc. contact those in charge of them. This blog is mainly about art.

Thank you for understanding and Namaste

Nature, M.L.K and history.

Hey everyone!

I hope that you had a great weekend and have a wonderful week!

I have a few collages to share!!! As well as a sketch that I’m working on.

This first one is a collage that shows a work I started on awhile ago.

I was actually working on it live

but never finished.

Alot of things came up in my personal life

and made it impossible for me to finish it

but I will finish one day.

Here it is! >>>>

The next thing I’m going to share is the sketch that I’m working on.

As many know, I’m a bit interested in the stories of my ancestors.

This is a sketch I made of Prince John.

John Charles Francis was born on July 12, 1905 and died of a seizure on January 18, 1919.

He was the fifth son and youngest of six children!!

His parents were King George V and Queen Mary.

I have not finished this sketch and don’t like how it looks yet but from what I hear artists tend to be hardest on themselves.

I’m also mainly an abstract artist and tend to be very hard on myself when it comes to realistic art.

I feel very strongly about Prince John because he died of a seizure though.

Although my life is not only about my health, it does matter alot to me and is part of who I am.

I really would love to visit all of the places my ancestors lived, etc.

My biggest wish is that I could pay my respects and visit where Prince John lived though.

Next is Scotland of course!! Talk about beauty!

I got alot of support from the African American community in high school when growing up.

They seemed to understand what some simply couldn’t.

I could go on and on about my seizures because in high school I was tortured due to them.

It was obvious to me that some were scared of them and could only make up jokes, etc. instead of being humane.

I also have a card that I made in memory of M.L.K. I have it up year round!

You can find it at: https://www.angelasartarea.com/art/infinity

I’ve been following some of the things Dr. Bernice King says today. I made this and think she is just amazing!!!

She had an amazing father and mother though so she probably takes after them!!!

Lastly, I wanted to share an update on my studio!

After School there was theatre. It was a bit like Harry Potter going to Hogwarts for me.

To read more about that go to my past posts. I’ve written about it alot!

As some know, I’ve been in great pain lately.

When I was able, I tried to let my pain give me motivation to keep painting.

I hope that this makes you smile. :)

This only shows one of my flowers. The top picture shows the first layer and the second photo shows the last.

Flowers and growing things really mean alot to me. They represent life itself.

To read more and see my main studio room take a look at my earlier posts. :)

I still have some to work on but can’t push myself to hard at the moment.

I’ll try to post every Monday as usual though.

I’m also on ArtWanted again!!!

I’m super excited about that. I’m sure you’ll be hearing about that in future posts!

I miss all the contests, etc. that I was a part of for so long.

Have a great week!!!

Namaste,

Angela
