Blog

This blog tells about the updates Angela makes.

It features her art but talks a bit about others, etc. as well. This does not happen in every post!

Angela is not shy in speaking up about others who have inspired her, etc.

This blog is to help create awareness of LGBTQ rights, etc. but first speaks up for Women in the arts.

However please note that if you have any political issues, etc. contact those in charge of them. This blog is mainly about art.

Thank you for understanding and Namaste

New News!

Hey everyone!

I hope that you had a wonderful weekend and stayed safe.

I have a few new collages to share with you all.

I also have to mention the amazing Morenike Adesulu and thank Stacey Abrams for not giving up!!! You go girl!

The collages I made just for you!

This first collage shows my new St. Patricks Day hat, tie

and leggings to match!

I took these photos in my studio.

There is a long story behind the leaves

in this part of my studio.

Even though I am painting my studio, etc. and Savannah is absolutely beautiful,

mostly outside of theatre, Savannah holds many sad memories for me.

I hate to say it but, I would really love to move away from an area that brings such sorrow to me.

I do not care what anyone says living here can not be good for my health anymore.

It is beautiful here though and I would recommend it to others.

I need your help to move.

Please purchase one of my works or take a look at my resume at:

I am open to any type of work in the arts that does not require my being there constantly, etc.

When looking at my resume, some may wonder how I could have been so ill and do that much.

My answer would be, I have NO idea! I could go on and on about my memories in High School.

I went to no ball or anything like many did because many times, I was just too ill.

I DID have many memories in theatre though!

I would often have a seizure and have to sleep through the next class.

Yet, I graduated! I made myself go to school each day with bruises from my seizures and being more tired than many could possibly imagine.

I have no idea how I did that! I know that I did though and I’m proud of it.

I grew to love it and found who I consider my family there.

I also eventually was able to do small chorus roles as I’ve mentioned before.

I was taught to help people to their seats, pass out playbills, take phone calls, etc. mostly while in high school too!

They absolutely LOVED my voice, so I was often asked to be in the chorus due to that.

I was also in choir and rehearsed every week.

I was not given solos but I think that was because my father was choir director and was worried about my health.

I know that some wonder about my walls. I do not have leaves that represent some who I don’t even know because I’m in a false reality.

I have them there because I truly was and am inspired by many people.

Actors who I have worked with and those who inspire me. Big names, small names, my ancestors and other historical figures are all on my wall because they inspire me. I think of them as actual human beings. That’s why I think they are amazing too. Life is hard for everyone. Rich, poor, big name, small name, etc. we all have issues that make life harder.

Many in the visual arts and those I’ve worked with today in large or small ways are also represented by the leaves on my wall.

Why? I am in charge that’s why. I say who a leaf represents and it changes. Many stay exactly the same but some represent multiple people.

The roles some actors choose are just jobs, they are not who they truly are. Just as my health is not who I am and those with money are not their money alone.

I love who they are and I do not have to know all of them personally to know that fact.

I’m inspired by their roles but even more so, who they are.

I don’t think that I know them personally though. At least not all of them. ;)

It is a honor for me to have ever been a part of that family and I will hold that in my heart forever.

It helps me to think of others in need as well.

Right now, that would be Ukraine.

Some may wonder how having to worry that you might die each night due to seizures is the same as

having to worry that you might die each night due to bombs?

I would say the answer’s in the question and leave it at that.

I do wish we would send people to help them, I am hardly in the position to make that call though.

That being so,I’ve been working on a few pieces based on Ukraine!

Here’s a collage I made to share.

It shows a work that I made in their colours and sketches I’ve made to add somehow.

I am not sure if the sketches will work or what but I wanted to share anyway. :)

As I said earlier, I also wanted to thank Morenike Adesulu!

Morenike is really an amazing person and artist!!

This would be a huge thank you for her kindness.

You can see some of her amazing works on Instagram at @artbymorenike

I hope that you all have an amazing new week.

Until next time, keep smiling!

Namaste
