Blog

This blog tells about the updates Angela makes.

It features her art but talks a bit about others, etc. as well. This does not happen in every post!

Angela is not shy in speaking up about others who have inspired her, etc.

This blog is to help create awareness of LGBTQ rights, etc. but first speaks up for Women in the arts.

However please note that if you have any political issues, etc. contact those in charge of them. This blog is mainly about art.

Thank you for understanding and Namaste

Collages!

Hey you guys!

Wow! This week has gone by fast huh!?

I made a couple collages to share with you today.

The first one shows my works and is of course a St. Patricks Day greeting too!!!

I know that it’s not St. Patricks Day yet but I can’t help celebrating it!!!

I hope you all have a good one!!!A couple of these paintings were ones I made years ago. You can tell because my signature is on them.

I didn’t begin to use A.T. until later and have used it for years mainly because it’s just easier.

I also wanted to share an ArtCardsUnited poster that I made for this month!

I was going to make a St. Patricks Day challenge and put it in my group.

It doesn’t seem as if people are as excited about it though.

Probably because it’s not open to everyone.

It’s invitation only due to so many technical issues, I thought that would be safer!

I do plan on making challenges, etc. in the future though. I’m thinking that I need to work on my e-mail list because I haven’t in sometime.

B-School teaches about that sort of thing.

Speaking of B-School, someone in B-School gave me some advice. The thing is, I think it was about changing or adding to what I already do. Only add it in ways that will share my personal story of overcoming issues, etc.

I respect that and am beyond grateful for those who see the beauty in what I’ve overcome. I do not choose not to post about my having Epilepsy all the time because I do not want to be defined by it. I’m not ashamed of it though! If anything I’m proud that I’m strong enough to have overcome most of it.

I’m not over it 100% as I believe that my thinking of the horrors in my past, along with some other things caused me to have a seizure. I could go on and on giving great detail about the pain that I’m in but I believe that’s meant for Doctors to hear. It’s not going to help anyone else to hear about my pains, etc. I have to admit that I would wonder why anyone would get a thrill from anothers pain. I can feel that it is partially emotional based.

That is not new to me and something I’ve known for sometime. Although, Scientifically there is a part of my brain that is different as well. Epilepsy cannot be controlled solely by emotions and anyone saying that is unaware of the Scientifically proven facts of Epilepsy. Either that or they simply do not care about them.

I haven’t had a seizure in a little over a year and I honestly I do hurt. I know that some would tell me to rest instead of writing this and I understand that.

In todays world though, I simply cannot rest.

You have to have money to hire help and honestly I do not have money because nobody buys my art in support of me. I can’t afford the luxury of laying down for too long even if I am in pain.
I need money to hire help and laying down won’t do that.

Working on my site will do that.

Learning from places like B-School, etc. will help me.

I believe that I can learn what is needed. I can’t say that changing everything to base it solely on my health is going to help though. Having seizures that cause this much pain is anything but helpful. Trauma or emotions can start the lack of control that cause my seizures. Having seizures is not like having cancer, etc. because seizures can be brought on by stress, etc. Stress, etc. is not good for Cancer, etc. either but it won’t cause a person to beat themselves up, etc. I am very lucky to be alive!

I may look like I’m in the health to do much more than I can but I simply am not. That’s a judgement that many have put on me over the years and I have simply been made to deal with it. That’s life.

Still, I can’t say that I’m not blessed because there are people who are much worse off. I don’t love pain but I think that it’s a blessing that I’m alive to have it. Oddly enough, I don’t seem to feel some pain unless I press really hard on it.

I read something about someone long ago in the Spencer family who had that issue as well.

I find it curious because I DO have a very small amount of their blood.

Lastly, I have a collage that I made in support of

Stacey Abrams,

Raphael Warnock,

Wade Herring

and Jon Ossoff!!

They can count on me to always support them!

You can read more about them by going to their sites!

Contact them about any political issues and let your voices be heard because YOU MATTER!!!

Don’t ignore injustice because as the great Martin Luther King said injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.

Fear can paralyze a community and get people to become silent about the things that matter most.

Do not let others drag fear into your heart. Do not stay silent!

As said in Stephen King’s The Stand, Make your STAND!

This world will be better if people work together to help each other before more problems occur.

Huge thanks to KVADPhoto+PRO2 and Paint 3D for providing such wonderful options!

I have to suggest them to any artist!

Until next time.

Namaste,

Angela
